This morning I had the privilege of meeting an Aftermarket Rewards participant. Her name is Betsy Robin of ABRA Auto Body in Rogers, MN. Betsy had sent us an email saying how much she likes Aftermarket Rewards and that her boss is very happy with her because she saved the company money by using Aftermarket Rewards points to redeem Christmas gifts for the shop techs.
We’re currently in the midst of our second winter snow storm and ABRA is busy today! So busy in fact that there was a rental car agency representative in her waiting room helping her customers with their rental needs after they dropped off their vehicles for repair (she said they arrange about 20 rentals per week for their customers).
Betsy has been actively collecting Aftermarket Rewards Points from 3M paint and sanding products and Keystone bumpers and wheels. She joined the program about 14 months ago when Keystone pitched ABRA to use Keystone products. In Keystone’s presentation to ABRA, they said that they are a sponsor of Aftermarket Rewards and described the benefits the program provides to shops (thanks Keystone)!
Betsy’s personal story is a bit interesting as well. She has been with ABRA since 1996 and was a shop tech up until about three years before moving into a CSR position. She raved about Aftermarket Rewards and after redeeming 36,000 points on Christmas gifts for the shop techs, she’s now saving points to redeem toys to donate to Toys for Tots, a program that provides toys to children who would not otherwise receive a holiday gift.
I asked Betsy how often she enters Reward Codes and she said she tries to do it once a week and usually has about 20 codes or so to enter. I asked her if entering the codes is tedious and she said, “No, it doesn’t take long at all and we get free stuff.”
